The National Symposium on Student Retention is the premiere conference for presenting and learning about the most current, evidence-based research on topics related to college student retention and graduation at 4-year and 2-year institutions. This year's conference will be held November 4-6, 2013 in San Diego, California.
Keynote speaker announced: Dr. Peter T. Ewell, Vice President of the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS), and author of seven books and numerous articles on improving undergraduate instruction through the assessment of student outcomes, will be the featured Keynote Speaker at this year's conference. Dr. Ewell’s work focuses on assessing institutional and higher education system effectiveness and the outcomes of college, and involves both research and direct consulting with institutions and state systems on collecting and using assessment information in planning, evaluation, and budgeting.
